LGBTQIA+ Media Commentary For the Modern Age
When I found out that Barnes and Noble didn’t carry books that I related to as a queer person and that the internet was black hole, I took to scavenging every nook of every indie bookstore in a 100 mile radius of my home. I spent countless hours looking through titles, determining if books were homophobic, transphobic, interphobic, or obviously written by a straight, cis author, with no idea about real queer experiences. If I- as a person living in the Big Gay Mecca ™ of San Francisco- struggled to find media relating to my existence- I can only imagine how difficult it for anyone else to find it. Thus, my blog was created.
I aim to keep my blog intersectional and I hope that this serves as a tool for other queer people to find media that they can connect with.
